Gold Fixing supports the Recovery Green Metal project, in order to give life to a working action focused on the recovery of precious metals obtained from electronics and zero impact industrial processing waste. The project was launched by the University of Cagliari on “Withyouwedo” platform of Telecom Italia crowdfunding.

Nowadays, recovery processes from electronics made of gold, silver, palladium and platinum are conducted with pyrometallurgical processes that have a strong impact on the environment.

Therefore it is necessary to create and apply new technologies designed for precious metal recovery, representing a priority strategy for the companies.

Unfortunately, the lack of proper incentives due to high investment costs represents an obstacle for circular business models.

Gold Fixing, thanks to its innovative spirit, has decided to face this challenge and be oriented on a circular economy model.

Our main goal is to replace raw materials with secondary ones obtained from recovery chains.

The exponential increase in price of raw materials and the impoverishment effects of basic resources, have devastating consequences for those people living in areas with a high presence of natural resources.

Strategies

Our strategy is focused on circular models, meaning that the products are part of an integrated business based on service supply. Competition does not result only from the value of a product sale, but from the development of an added value to a service.

Applying circular economy models represents a strategic input and a transition from “necessity” to “opportunity”, or rather reusing materials that are intended to be garbage as a resource for a new production cycle.

The partnership with other companies through an enterprise network, consortia and joint ventures with recycling oriented strategies, is an advantage for the society; according to natural cyclicity, our garbage can become a resource for others.

With the introduction of customer journey processes it is possible to strengthen the interactions between companies and consumers. By mapping and analyzing the process that our stakeholders undertake to keep in touch with us, is helpful to better understand their goals, and it is also a necessary step to create innovative products and circular services.
