Purchase and disposal of WEEE

The national regulations regarding the disposal of WEEE, entrusted the responsibility to the productors, as required by the European legislation (2002/96/CE).

With the purchase of new electrical appliances, for those clients who want to cast old appliances off, the supplier must guarantee:

Pick up of old appliances
Storage in suitable places
Transportation to the collection center

In order to do so, suppliers must be registered in the National Register of Environmental Operators for collection and transportation activities.

Upon collection, the supplier must fill a file with personal information and specify what type of WEEE has been picked up. Once grouped on the basis of their category, they will be transferred to the collection centers.
