Gold represents prosperity, magnificence, solidity and through the centuries it has kept its richness over generations.
This metal is the utmost store of value because:
- it is characterized by a real value, so it is stable during financial crises
- it is a finished product
- due to its intrinsic value, gold is both currency and money representing today the safest solution to protect our savings
- it is VAT free according to the Law 7/2000
Investing in gold allows to recover the loss of money value since it represents the value itself, guaranteeing long-term stability and it is extremely easy to trade due to the high demand.
There are two ways to invest in gold:
1) Physical gold:
a) Gold bars: made of pure gold (24k)
b) Numismatic coins: evaluated for their rarity
c) Gold coins: made of pure gold 24k, or gold 22 k or 20k.
The benefits of investing in physical gold come from the undisputed ownership of the good, whose possession is not affected by the pretentiousness of banks.
The most suitable solution is to possess allocated physical gold: the gold in question belongs exclusively to the owner and the intermediate company that acts as depositor (the bank or another private company), stipulates a custody contract with the owner.
Gold is therefore allocated in the bank vault and despite the bank owning the gold, it is by contact excluded from the possession and use of it; investors will pay a sum for the custody service.
The non-allocated gold solution has different benefits, because it is expected that the precious metal is deposited on a bank account and incorporated to the capital of the reference institution; this allows the bank to become the owner of the metal and acquire the right to use it depending on the needs, for example legal withdrawal in case of bank default. This solution has a quicker operability because the precious good is combined with a bank action.
2) Financial gold:
a) Shares of mining companies
b) Futures: standard fixed-term or forward contracts to be easily negotiated in the stock market. They are products where two parts commit to exchange specific goods at maturity and at fixed prices
c) Binary options or commonly known as digital consisting in operations whose result is correct or incorrect.
